Unlike conventional, single-stage furnace technology, Goodman’s technology helps eliminate the temperature swings resulting from abrupt, high-stage stops-and-starts of the furnace by operating at a low heating state the majority of the time. This gas furnace has an AFUE rating of up to 96%, which means that up to 96 cents of every $1.00 of heating energy expense warms your home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Initial Installation (11/2014) The installation was done by an experienced, licensed contractor who has done work for me in the past. The install was very professional. However the ducting has a flow damper installed, I have an evaporator cooler, and it now clangs when the furnace blower shuts off. The contractor has been notified and I am sure it will be corrected. This is unrelated to the furnace itself. So far the furnace quickly heats the house (1500 sq/ft) and keeps the house at an even temperature. The noise level is acceptable but not much different than my 30 year old furnace. If this rating can be updated I will do so sometime in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a difference!! It was before Thanksgiving when our old furnace quit, and we had to get a new one. Great price, great efficiency and overall wonderful product. I have noticed such a large difference in our heating bill and the airflow throughout the house. And it's super quiet!! We have remodeled our basement and we have noticed the silence in comparison to the other furnace!! SOOOO pleased!!! Goodman is a wonderful manufacturer of furnaces, so we were very pleased with the warranty coverage offered, value and quality of the furnace

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Unit Replaced a 20 year old Armstrong 80% unit. Hadn't heard about Goodman and was somewhat dubious. But did copious research, read all the reviews I could find. Glad I made the decision I did. The unit installation was straight forward, the customer support was excellent. Currently, the furnace is operating to my expectations. Time will tell if it is a durable product but I have no worries that it will be just fine. I've told neighbors and friends about this purchase and two of them are contemplating buying Goodman units as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from moves alot of air I had an old fuel oil furnace that I thought couldn't be matched but this new furnace moves the air through my house so much better. It doesn't run nearly as long and is much quieter. I can hear the air at the vents now but its not bad. Before I heard all the noise from my basement and it had trouble heating my house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great features looks good I installed this furnace in my own home its been installed about a month ago it's been working just fine But This morning I woke up to a tinny noise the blower wheel was making after further inspection the set screw had come completely out of the blower wheel so I had to slide the blower assembly out find the set screw and reset it. (I hope that's not a bad sign) I believe in GOODMAN PRODUCTS that's why I use them myself and sell them to others Thank You Bob VanAcker Bob's service Center

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and Quick I specifically requested a Goodman furnace to replace the Goodman already installed in the house I purchased in 2012, as I was pleased with the old furnace's performance. The technician recommended this model as a good fit for my smaller house, as I wanted something efficient since heating season in Pittsburgh can last from late September until late May - or longer. I could not believe how small this unit was compared to the old GMNT 100K BTU (which was too large for the house, leading to a cracked heat exchange after 12 years of short-cycling) and how quiet! It's a basement installation and I sit directly above it in the living room and I can barely hear it running. It quickly brought my house from a frigid 50-ish to 75 degrees on the first run and is maintaining 70 degrees easily. I look forward to seeing the decrease in my gas consumption from last winter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet, Reliable, and Energy Efficient!! I had a new furnace and heat pump installed as part of a home remodel and my mechanical contractor installed the Goodman GMH950904. Unit sips propane and barely uses any electricity compared to my older model. We love it, and it is easy to service and work with. We never heard of Goodman before - but are now converted! No need for name recognition - great price and excellent performance sells me on this one! Thanks!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adjusting My house is definitely warmer. I haven't had it long enough to find out if my gas bill will be lower. My old furnace was over 30 years old. I am adjusting to the blower noise. It is much louder than my previous furnace. I had a hard time telling if my previous furnace was even on, it was so quiet. This furnace blower motor is much louder, but my installer explained why. I'm sure I will get used to it.
